We use Western Rib® (7.2 Panel) metal roofing panels in our carport kits. These panels were specifically chosen to be included in our kits because they offer superior load and span capacities when installed over an open purlin roof system.

The 7.2-inch on center spacing between ribs is aesthetically pleasing and offers symmetrical balance to architectural projects. The trapezoidal design also provides superior load and span capacities, saving money in structural support.

Most of the competition provides flimsy 29 Gauge Panels. Our metal carport and RV Shelter kits come standard with strong 24 gauge roofing. Western States Decking is a metal roofing manufacturer. Therefore, we can provide you with a stronger panel at a lower price than a distributor of carport kits that does make their own panels.

Metal carport and RV shelter kits can be shipped anywhere in the country very inexpensively on one of our route trucks.

Metal carport kits can be shipped anywhere in the contiguous United States with an added option for pick-up from our Phoenix manufacturing plant or from our distribution hub in Tucson, Arizona or Ontario, California. Our metal carport kits are constructed using heavy-duty steel posts and purlins and are easily assembled using our exclusive Western Rib® metal roofing panels in your choice of premium SMP paint colors or standard Galvalume® finish. These quality metal carport kits are specifically designed and packaged for those who like to do-it-yourself and require a durable, straightforward steel carport that’s ready to build upon arrival. Steel carport kits are available in a variety of sizes that can accommodate a variety of needs such as protecting your vehicles, a place for shade on your patio, to add-on to your home for utility, or add as a place to store your boat in an open area of your property. Please note: All carport kits do not include structural plans. Preliminary plans are available for $250 but are not for construction and cannot be used to obtain a building permit. Always check with your city concerning local ordinances and building codes before you begin construction or consult with a general contractor.
